I might be showing my age – well I am – but I’m guessing many of us will know the rock band Rolling Stones, and therefore one of their big hits in 1965: (I can’t get no) Satisfaction. I know that when most people hear the word synod, they cringe. It carries with it lots of negative connotations. That is definitely how I felt … up until last week. You see last weekend I attended my first synod. For those who don’t know what synod is, it is where all the Anglican churches in the diocese (area) of Far North Queensland gather for a big meeting.
