Last week we had our Morinda Carols, which is basically a carols’ service in the local nursing home, here in Whitfield. It was a good roll-up of people, about sixty came along. And I’d say it was one of the best carols we’ve had there: the staff had everything beautifully set up for us, with two nativity scenes at the front, one in each corner; and the residents who attended were certainly very keen to participate: crowd participation was an all-time high!   The leading of this service and the message given......

It has been announced this week that as of the 31st of January 2016 Night Church will move from 6pm to 5pm. I was once told that people hate change and if you can, avoid it. So, you might be asking why, why change something like this? In the end it is always the same, there will be some who want the service to stay at 6pm and others who want it move to 5pm. This will cause, you could say disruption. So why go there? Well, in the end it came......

If you know me, you will know that I love birds, the ‘finch’ type. You will also know that I love the bush. For me, there is no better holiday than to camp by a river with paperbark trees overhanging it and lots of birdlife around. I have no inclination to travel overseas and see man-made stuff; it doesn’t interest me in the slightest (except maybe a Holy Land tour). Sue keeps saying: we will have to educate you one day; maybe you’re thinking the same!   Anyway, I was pondering this......
