Will QTC Help You?

You’ve probably heard of some of the very good Bible and Theological Colleges in Australia like Moore Theological College (where Trevor went) and Sydney Missionary & Bible College (where Chris went), but maybe you haven’t heard of the Queensland Theological College (where I went). Many people would say that QTC is a very good — and the good news is that QTC can help you, right here in Cairns.

  • Firstly, today we welcome 3 QTC students to TGS: Michael, Megan and Melinda, & look forward to how they will encourage and urge us on in Christ.
  • Secondly, this Semester QTC can help you to grow in understanding and living out God’s word — especially the first half of the Old Testament, because for the first time QTC is offering a subject here in Cairns this Semester. The lectures will be held in two Intensive blocks: one in August and one in October, from Thursday night till Saturday.
  • You can Audit the classes (get the benefit from the going to the lectures and doing the readings but you don’t have to do any assignments!). Or you can do it for credit. The lectures will be given by QTC Principal Gary Millar, whom numerous of the men have heard preach at Katoomba Men’s Conventions and speak very highly of his teaching. The 2nd lecturer is Dr Doug Green, who has lectured in Old Testament for decades. For more details see http://www.qtc.edu.au/qtc-cairns/ (& the short video).
  • Thirdly, QTC also has online subjects. So you don’t even have to leave Cairns to get this wonderful teaching! See http://www.qtc.edu.au/online-learning/
  • Before I went to QTC I did a subject while I was still living in Gladstone and found it very helpful for me as a Christian. There are so many treasures in God’s Word and looking into it more deeply can be like opening a treasure chest of jewels. I know that the thought of doing a ‘Theological College’ subject might seem daunting to you, but I know that numerous of you have the ability to do it and would help you living for Jesus. So will QTC help you?
